Tenali Rama Serial 8th May episode written episode

A comedy version of the historically reputed comic poet Tenali Ramakrishna in the house of Krishnadevaraya- the Emperor of Vijayanagara Empire has recently commenced on SAB TV. Owing to the storyline, the serial was created in a hilarious manner which garnered plenty of attention and fan following among the fans Hindi TV serial Fanatics.

The serial has three main characters- Tenali Rama played by Krishna Bharadwaj, Tathacharya who is the arch-rival of Tenali Rama played by Pankaj Berry, and Krishnadevaraya- The emperor played by Manav Gohil.

Let’s look at the recap of the episode of 8th May

While the entire court of Krishnadevaraya is in order, a traveler from Portugal arrives in claiming that he had heard the greatness of Vijayanagara Empire and would want to write about it in his memoirs. On being asked about why the task is important, the traveler explains that writing about a certain Kingdom, its people, its culture, its thoughts and the lifestyles, the world knows what about the certain kingdom and it is honorable for the kingdom itself. He also says that through his writings Vijayanagara Empire will be a part of the world history. And saying all this, he expresses his wishes to write about the husband and wife relationships in the kingdom because he had heard a lot of great things about the marriage and the loving relationship between a husband and a wife in Vijayanagara Empire. While saying this, he says that whoever gets into his book will be immortal and his name will be written in golden letters in history.

The writer requests the king to meet the queens and write about them. The king being in a troubled position with his wives asks him to first write about the Tenali Rama Krishna and his wife to which Rama Krishna retorts that being the eldest among all, it is justified to write about Tathacharya. While Tathacharya tries to explain to the writer about the cow dung on the walls the news that a writer has arrived from a foreign country and that he is going to write about the husband and wife relationship in the kingdom, reaches Tenali Rama’s house and his wife starts to act very lovingly. Things go haywire when Tenali Rama gives them the news that the writer had gone to Tathacharya’s house to write about them, they come into their original attitudes and send him out to bring vegetables.
